The Sony Playstation (aka, PSOne, PS1, or PSX) was a 32bit system released in 1994. The Playstation was the first console to reach the 100 million units sold mark and was produced up until 2006. As of September 30th, 2007, almost 8000 titles had been released for the system (if you count games released in multiple regions as seperate titles). Lasting for over 11 years, the Playstation had one of the longest runs in video game history.
