Sega Dreamcast

The Sega Dreamcast was released in 1999 (in North America) and was considered well ahead of its time. Coming out only 13 months before the Playstation 2, it is considered to be in the sixth generation of video game systems. Although discontinued by Sega in 2001 in the US, support continued in Japan where consoles were sold up to 2006 and new games were realeased up to 2007. The first home video game system to utilize a mircosoft operating system. (Windows CE)
